By accessing and using the Thoughts decentralized application (dApp), you accept and agree to be bound by the terms and provision of this agreement. If you do not agree to abide by the above, please do not use this service.

2. Description of Service

Thoughts is a decentralized application built on the MultiversX blockchain that allows users to submit, view, and interact with thoughts and ideas in a decentralized manner. The service includes:

• Submitting thoughts and ideas to the blockchain (maximum 512 characters per thought)
• Viewing and exploring thoughts from other users
• Categorizing and organizing thoughts by categories
• Interacting with the blockchain through wallet connections (xPortal, Web Wallet, hardware wallets, other supported wallets)
• Boosting thoughts to increase visibility
• Donating to support favorite authors
• Commenting and engaging on thoughts

3. Platform Architecture and Service Role

ThoughtsdApp.com as Frontend Interface: Our website serves as a user-friendly Web2 frontend that bridges the gap between traditional internet users and the MultiversX blockchain. This distinction is important to understand:

• Our website is a facilitation service that helps you interact with the blockchain
• When you submit a thought using your wallet, we do not store your thoughts on our servers - they go directly to the blockchain
• Our role is to provide an easy-to-use interface for blockchain interaction
• The permanence and immutability of your thoughts is guaranteed by the blockchain, not by us
• We act as a conduit between you and the MultiversX network

Important: While we provide the interface and submission services, your thoughts' existence on the blockchain is independent of our website's operation. The blockchain will continue to store your thoughts even if our website experiences downtime.

4. User Responsibilities

As a user of the Thoughts dApp, you agree to:

• Provide accurate and truthful information
• Not submit content that is illegal, harmful, threatening, abusive, or defamatory
• Not attempt to gain unauthorized access to the service
• Maintain the security of your wallet and private keys
• Comply with all applicable laws and regulations

5. Blockchain and Cryptocurrency

The Thoughts dApp operates on the MultiversX blockchain and may involve cryptocurrency transactions. You acknowledge that:

• Cryptocurrency transactions are irreversible
• You are responsible for the security of your wallet and private keys
• The value of cryptocurrencies can be volatile
• Blockchain transactions incur network gas fees

Smart Contract Details

All thoughts and interactions on the Thoughts dApp are processed through our verified smart contract deployed on the MultiversX blockchain:

By using the Thoughts dApp, you acknowledge that you are interacting with this specific smart contract and that all transactions are governed by its immutable code deployed on the blockchain.

6. Thought Submission Using Your Wallet

When submitting thoughts using your own MultiversX wallet, you will incur the following costs:

• A submission fee of 0.001 EGLD is required to prevent spam and maintain platform quality
• Network gas fees for thought submission typically range from 0.001 to 0.002 EGLD, depending on the length of your thought
• The typical average total cost for submitting a thought is around 0.003 EGLD (submission fee + gas fees combined)
• Comment submissions incur similar fees.
• Gas fees for boost or donate operations are usually smaller as they do not require as much computation

Note: All gas fees are determined by the MultiversX network and may vary slightly based on network conditions and transaction complexity.

7. Wallet-Free Submission Service

For users who do not have a MultiversX wallet, we provide a submission service that allows you to post thoughts to the blockchain for a fee of $5 USD. By using this service, you acknowledge and agree to the following:

• Your thought will be posted to the blockchain using our MultiversX @onbehalf account. No wallet will be created for you.
• The author name you provide will be displayed as the author of your thought
• Your thought will be permanently stored on the blockchain and publicly visible
• You are responsible for the content and accuracy of the author information you provide
• Your submission will be rejected, and no payment will be refunded, if it contains any of the following: spam, cursing, hate speech, personal attacks, or any other offensive content.
• Wallet-free submission service is not immediate. After the payment is confirmed, it may take up to 24 hours for your thought to be processed and posted to the blockchain
• All payments are processed through the payment processor, Stripe. We do not store any of your payment information
• All payments are final and non-refundable

Important: This service is provided as a convenience and does not affect the permanent, immutable nature of blockchain storage. Once posted, your thought cannot be modified or removed from the blockchain.

8. Donations and Boosting System

The Thoughts dApp includes a donation and boosting system that enables community members to support authors and enhance thought visibility. This system operates as follows:

Donation System

• Users can donate to thoughts by clicking the Donate button
• Smart contracts automatically distribute donations according to the following structure:
• For wallet-created thoughts (direct submissions): 95% goes to the author's wallet address, providing potential income for quality content
• For purchased submissions (via our paid submission service): donations are credited to the service account to support platform development
• A 5% platform fee is retained for development and maintenance costs

Boosting System

• Boosting increases a thought's prominence and visibility within the platform
• Boosts can be performed by the thought's author or other users through the Boost button
• Boost amounts are discretionary, with a minimum of 0.001 EGLD
• Higher total boost amounts result in increased visibility in the boosted thoughts section
• All boost transactions are permanently recorded on the MultiversX blockchain through smart contracts

9. Comments Functionality

The Thoughts dApp includes a commenting system that allows users to engage with and discuss thoughts posted on the platform. Understanding the nature of this system is important:

• Users can comment on thoughts using the comment functionality
• Comments are permanently stored on the MultiversX blockchain and are publicly visible
• Comments cannot be modified or deleted once posted to the blockchain
• The platform has no control over the content of comments that authors may receive
• All comments are subject to the same content guidelines as thoughts

Important: By posting comments, you acknowledge that they become permanent, immutable records on the blockchain. The platform cannot moderate, edit, or remove comments once they are posted, regardless of their content or the author's preferences.

10. Content Filtering and Moderation

While all thoughts and comments submitted to the Thoughts dApp are permanently stored on the MultiversX blockchain and remain accessible through blockchain explorers, our frontend interface may implement content filtering to maintain community standards:

• Content that violates our terms and conditions may be filtered from display on our frontend
• Examples of filtered content include, but are not limited to: profanity, hate speech, illegal content, or material that violates community guidelines
• Filtered content remains permanently accessible on the blockchain through direct blockchain queries
• The platform reserves the right to determine what content is appropriate for frontend display
• Content filtering does not affect the permanent, immutable nature of blockchain storage

Important: Content filtering is a frontend-only feature that affects display within our platform. All submitted content remains permanently stored and accessible on the blockchain, regardless of whether it appears in our frontend interface.

11. Content and Intellectual Property

Users retain ownership of the content they submit to the Thoughts dApp. However, by submitting content, you grant the platform a license to display and distribute your content on the blockchain or in our social media channels. You represent that you have the right to submit such content and that it does not violate any third-party rights.

We may, at our discretion, promote selected thoughts on social media platforms (such as X/Twitter, LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, and other social media channels) to showcase interesting content and increase visibility for authors. When we do this, we will:

• Credit the original thought with author attribution as described in our Privacy Policy
• Maintain the integrity of the original content while adapting it for social media format
• Respect the author's privacy by using only publicly available information from the blockchain

By submitting content to the Thoughts dApp, you consent to this potential social media promotion. If you do not wish your content to be considered for social media promotion, please contact us at support@thoughtsdapp.com.

12. User Responsibility and Platform Role

Platform Role and Limitations

• We act solely as a service facilitator providing access to MultiversX blockchain technology
• We do not create, control, or moderate user-generated content on the blockchain
• Our role is limited to providing a user interface and facilitating blockchain interactions
• We do not endorse, verify, or validate any content posted by users
• We are not responsible for the accuracy, legality, or appropriateness of user content

User Responsibility for Content

• Users are solely responsible for all content they submit to the blockchain
• Users must ensure their content complies with all applicable laws and regulations
• Users are responsible for obtaining necessary rights and permissions for their content
• Users acknowledge that their content becomes permanently visible and accessible on the blockchain
• Users understand that blockchain content cannot be modified or removed once posted

Content-Related Disclaimers

• We do not monitor, review, or pre-screen user content before it is posted to the blockchain
• We are not liable for any damages, losses, or legal issues arising from user content
• We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or usefulness of any user content
• We are not responsible for any intellectual property violations in user content
• We do not provide legal advice regarding content legality or compliance

Important: By using our service, you acknowledge that we are merely a technology facilitator and that all responsibility for content lies with the individual users who post it. We provide no guarantees regarding content quality, legality, or appropriateness.

13. Disclaimers

We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free. The blockchain technology underlying this service is experimental and may be subject to changes, bugs, or vulnerabilities.

14. Limitation of Liability

In no event shall the developers or contributors to the Thoughts dApp be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including without limitation, loss of profits, data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from your use of the service.

15. Privacy and Data

The Thoughts dApp operates on a decentralized blockchain, which means that submitted thoughts are publicly visible and immutable. Please review our Privacy Policy for more information about how we handle your data.

16. Modifications to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting. Your continued use of the service after any changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.

17. Governing Law

These terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of British Columbia, Canada, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
